So after being back on track with deliveries last month, the March Violet Box arrived yesterday, on the 1st April, so sadly really a little late to be classified a March Box. Anyway, here are my thoughts on this month’s box;
What They Say:
Violet Box brands promises to every month include 4-6 premium beauty and lifestyle samples from well-known and trusted Australian beauty brands as well as exciting new International brands, one in particular is a revolutionary product currently trending in New York and has been featured in Vogue and on the Today Show!
RRP: You can subscribe to Violet Box for:
1 month – $22.95
3 months - $66.00
6 months - $130
12 months - $250
Available from Violet Box
What I Say:
As per usual this month the Violet Box comes in the typical slide-out box, with the grey and white swirly design that has been previously used. These were the goodies inside the box…
Biology Equilibrium Body Lotion No 304 – Sample, 30ml (RRP: $52/?)
I have never heard of this brand before and it always excites me to try something new. This body lotion claims to fight free radical damage with antioxidants, boost the skin hyaluronic acid levels, and balance moisture to rejuvenate and restore radiance. The 30ml tube has a decent size to be able to use for a few goes, and I absolutely adore the fresh citrusy scent. I think I could quickly become addicted to this one!
Bioderma Sebium Foaming Gel – Sample, 15ml (RRP: $24.95/250ml)
This cleanser is specifically formulated for combination to oily and acne prone skin, so it is perfectly suited to my skin, so I do look forward to trying this one out.
Doucce Mineral Matte Lipstick in shade 903 – Full Size (RRP: $29.95)
Another brand I’ve never heard of, so again bonus points to Violet Box!! The mineral lipstick is infused with vitamin E and has SPF 10. The shade 903 is a lovely nude dusty rose shade, which I really love, and the type of shade I’d normally reach for. And it smells fantastic too, and how stunning is that silver packaging! It goes on matte and literally feels weightless on the lips. I can’t wait to see how long it will last on the lips.
Doucce Lip Definer in shade 456 – Full Size (RRP: $29.95)
As I think I’ve mentioned before, I know I really should, but for some reason I don’t tend to use lip liners! But in saying that, I love that this lip liner came in a shade that matches the lipstick, couldn’t be better.
Lonvitalite C8 Collagen Crystal Eye Mask – one pair (RRP: $32/6 pairs)
This is a gel eye mask that is designed to eliminate dark circles and fine lines under the eyes. I love these type of eye masks, they not only feel so cooling on the eye area, but makes such a difference instantly, so I cannot wait to put it to the test. Only issue is just finding the time to lie down and relax when I wear it!!
So there you go, the contents in the March Violet Box. Personally I find it is a fantastic box, as I like and will use every single product. In terms of value, it also far outweighs the $22.95 cost, the lipstick and the lip liner combined are worth almost $60!
As well as all the products seems specifically picked for my colours and skin type, I also love the inclusion of the new brands Biology and Doucce – to me the beauty box is all about discovering new products and brands, and this month Violet Box has managed to do just that! Well Done Violet Box, yet again you’ve managed to impress me!
