What I Say:

The MeMeMe Seventh Heaven Moisturising Face Base both a moisturiser and a primer in one, moisturising the skin as well as evening out the skin tone, preparing it for foundation – and this instantly makes me want to give it huge bonus points. I have enough products overcrowding my bathroom cabinet, so there is nothing better than a multi-tasking product.

To be honest I didn’t really believe that this cream could even out my skin tone – surely a normal looking white/cream coloured moisturiser can’t do that, but I was wrong. After applying just a little across my face, my skin is left soft, smooth and moisturised and my skin tone is surprisingly more even. Minor redness and pigmentation is minimised, and so are the bags under my eyes. My skin skin simply looks so much nicer. And best of all, you wouldn’t even know you’ve applied the Seventh Heaven. It is literally invisible on the skin!

As for larger areas of darker pigmentation and scars, I do need to call on my trusted concealer, but that is also only to be expected.

The cream has a refreshing citrus scent, and it smells absolutely amazing – as I apply it I can’t stop smelling the jar and my hands after I’ve applied it. Luckily though, it is still gentle, so it doesn’t irritate your skin, or irritate your eyes (not even my uber-sensitive eyes) if you get it too close to the eye area. But in spite of maybe smelling a little strong to some (not to me as I love citrus scented products), the scent does fade more or less completely once the cream has absorbed into the skin.

So how did this Seventh Heaven Moisturising Face Base fare after wearing it for a full day under makeup, and on a hot and humid Melbourne’s summers day!! It passed the test. With flying colours. And as the Seventh Heaven Moisturising Face Base has already evened out my skintone so well, hiding redness and uneven skintone, I feel that I need to use less foundation than I normally would.

My skin not only stayed moisturised all day, but it also did not make my combination skin feel greasier or make it break out. And as for my foundation and makeup, that simply stayed put all day too, without fading, sliding or creasing. Very impressive.

The Seventh Heaven Moisturising Face Base comes in a glass jar with a screw lid, which makes it easy to use, but I do, as always, prefer creams that come in either pump bottles or tubes, as they are simply more hygienic.

The actual cream contains shea butter, vitamin E and beta-carotene, and feels quite rich, so I was a little worried that it would be too heavy for my combination skin, but I needn’t worry, as the cream is still lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving it feeling greasy or drowned in moisture.

What I Like:
  • Reasonably priced for a product that doubles as both a moisturiser and a primer
  • Moisturisers my skin without making it feel greasy, clogging it up or making it break out
  • Evens out my skin tone, so I need to use less foundation
  • Makes my foundation and makeup stay put all day
  • Have an amazing refreshing citrus scent

What I Don’t Like:
  • That it comes in a glass jar – would prefer a pump bottle or tube
  • Not readily available in retail shops, - only available online through MeMeMe cosmetics

This is the first product from MeMeMe Cosmetics that I’ve ever tried, and I have to say that I am impressed.  I love that this is a two in one product as the cream not only moisturises and nourishes my skin without drowning it, but it also serves as a primer making my makeup stay put – when you are busy, being able to skip one step in your beauty routine by using multi-functional products makes a huge difference.  I love how I feel I need use less foundation, and how it makes my makeup stay put all day. And even used on its own, without following with foundation, it leaves my skin looking so much nicer, more even and glowing, so if I have a very casual day, or if I am in a hurry, I don’t feel so bad for skipping the foundation. This Seventh Heaven Moisturising Face Base, really is amazing, and leaves my skin looking as close to perfect as possible, and in one quick step – I’m in Seventh Heaven!!
