Product Review: Neutrogena Deep Clean Radiance Boosting Mulberry Foam Cleanser & Daily Scrub

With skin prone to breakouts, good cleansing products are an absolute must for my skin. And I love that budget friendly brands are launching great alternatives. Here are my thoughts on the *Neutrogena Deep Clean Radiance Boosting Mulberry Foam Cleanser & Daily Scrub;

What They Say:

"The Neutrogena Deep Clean Radiance Boosting Mulberry Daily Scrub exfoliates away dead skin cells and improves dull looking skin. It is gentle enough for daily use. The key ingredient in the formula is mulberry extract."

"The Neutrogena Deep Clean Radiance Boosting Mulberry Foam Cleanser works to clean deep down into the pores and effectively remove 99 per cent of oil, dirt and impurities. The cleanser helps to boost skin clarity, even skin tone and reveal a healthier, more radiant looking complexion. Key ingredients include mulberry extract and vitamins C and B3."

RRP: Daily Scrub: $13.99 (100ml), Foam Cleanser $13.99 (175ml) – Available from supermarkets, pharmacies and Priceline.

What I Say:
I recently tried the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Daily Scrub and Foam Cleanser, and these Radiance Boosting Mulberry products are very similar in style, except of course they have a different scent, as well as they claim to boost skin radiance and even the skin tone removing 99% of oil, dirt and impurities.

Prone to breakouts, I love hearing that these products are removing a whopping 99% of the blemish causing oil, excess sebum, dirt and impurities. And with a baby, although he is the sweetest boy sleeping through the night, a mummy’s instinct now means that I no longer sleep as well, waking several times during the night, just to check on him. This sadly means that I often look a little tired, and my skin looks a little lacklustre.

Both the Daily Scrub and the Foam Cleanser contains mulberry extract, which gives the products a lovely berry scent, although a fan of anything citrus scented, I do prefer the scent of the Pink Grapefruit products.

The Foam Cleanser come in a pump bottle and the see-through bottle reveals the image of a purple mulberries on the revere side of the back label, as well as the purple foam cleanser. The pump bottle makes it easy to use and dispense exactly the amount of cleanser need, and the see-through bottle means that you can see exactly how much cleanse you have left.

The Daily Scrub comes in a purple tube with a flip lid, The Daily Scrub is a clear gel with some purple scrubbing particles, and it is so gentle, yet it leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth.

The products claim to boost skin clarity, even skin tone and reveal a healthier, more radiant looking complexion, but I must admit that I have not noticed any difference in skin tone, radiance or clarity after a few weeks use. In saying that, I do like how it easily removes makeup and gently cleans my skin, leaving it soft and smooth and without stripping it from essential moisture.

I also like that both products are dermatologist tested, oil-free, and non-comedogenic, and because it is alcohol-free too, the products would also be suitable for even the most sensitive skins.

At $13.99 each, the Radiance Boosting Mulberry Foam Cleanser & Daily Scrub are with 175ml for the cleanser, and 100ml for the scrub slightly smaller than other products in the same category, yet I still feel that they are both well priced.

What I Like:

  • The nice mulberry scent
  • The design of the bottles and the purple colour
  • That they leave my skin clean deep down every pore without drying it out
  • Great value for money
  • The easy to use pump bottle with the foam cleanser

What I Don’t Like:
  • They contain fragrance, it would be lovely if the gorgeous scent was natural coming from the mulberry extracts
  • The products also contain parabens

Overall, these are well priced products that smell great and are effective too, so if you have sensitive skin and love berry scented products, then these will be perfect for you!
