What I Say:
I have never previously heard of the brand Mesoestetic, but I am always excited to be trying out new brands. Mesoestetic is a Spanish brand, with the products also being made in Spain. I have previously tried sunscreens for oily skins, but still I have felt that they have been way too greasy for my skin, so I honestly didn’t expect much of this Sun Protection cream from Mesoestetic. And how wrong I was!
The Mesoestetic’s Dermatological Sun Protection is oil free and has a SPF 50+, with broad spectrum protection against UVA and UVB radiation.
The cream has a lovely subtle scent, and is thick, but absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving it feeling soft and moisturised, but without any greasy or sticky feeling.
I hadn’t expected the cream to be tinted, so I was surprised to see that the actual cream is slightly tinted, but in a very pale colour that I thought surely would be way too pale for my neutral toned skin. But it isn’t, it is perfect. And once absorbed into the skin, it is actually not showing that it is tinted, yet it is still evening out my skin tone, helping to cover slight redness on my cheeks and around the nose, as well tone down dark circles under my eyes, although it still doesn’t cover darker imperfections. It simply leaves my skin looking nicer, more even toned, and with a matte look – that again surprisingly stays that all day.

The cream comes in a simple white tube with a flip lid. As decent amount of sunscreen is always required to get the full benefit of the SPF50+, I would not say that it is concentrated, you simply need to use what you need of this cream. At $69 it is a little expensive, but this is honestly one of the first sunscreens that I have ever come across that doesn’t make my skin feel and look greasy and break out, but rather makes it look matte with a more even look, so to me it is well worth every cent!
What I Like:
- That it contains SPF50+ - the higher protection the better under the harsh Australian sun!
- That it is slightly tinted, leaving my skin more even toned
- That it oil-free and gives my skin a nice matte look
What I Don’t Like:
- That it is a little expensive
- That it is only available through select salons and online
Overall, I cannot rave enough about this cream, and I am excited to be heading towards summer and finally know that I can protect my face without having to worry about breaking out in pimples. I will definitely be purchasing this again. If you too feel that sunscreens make your skin breakout, and you can afford the splurge, I highly recommend that you try it!
